Actor Jonathan Majors was arrested Saturday in New York on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment.
The “Tenet III” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Fever” star has been detained after a “domestic dispute” with a 30-year-old woman, police said.
The woman suffered minor head and neck injuries and was taken to a hospital, a New York Police Department (NYPD) spokesman said in a statement.
“The victim told police she had been beaten,” they said.
“Officers took the 33-year-old man into custody without incident.”
Police were called to a Manhattan apartment around 11 a.m. Saturday.
An NYPD spokesman confirmed to The Associated Press that Majors was no longer in police custody as of Saturday night.
