Wisconsin billionaire Herbert V. Kohler, known for his luxury plumbing products, hotels and golf courses, died in September. 3 years old at the age of 83. He briefly attended Furman University in 1962, before returning to Yale to pursue a degree in industrial management. Milwaukee Business Journal (subscription required) Wisconsin Rapids-Tribune, Milwaukee Sentinel Magazine, and multiple other outlets covered this story. Under Kohler’s leadership, “Kohler’s bold look” was more than a catchy slogan, the Sentinel wrote. It became a rallying cry for the company’s employees. “We have the people, products, focus, resources and passion to pursue our mission and compete successfully,” Kohler once told colleagues.
