GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Rody’s Tavern will once again open its doors to the Greensboro community, the restaurant confirmed in a Facebook post Sunday.
Roddy’s Tavern was sold to new owners in August. 19 Long-time owners Steve and Barbara Rodmond sold the restaurant after being a neighborhood hot spot for more than seven years.
Rodermonds issued a statement about the sale via Facebook:
“Well, it’s official! Barbara and I sold Roddy’s Tavern today. We would like to thank every one of our guests, employees, vendors and friends for all their support over the past 7 1/2 years , help and friendship. We’re so excited to play such an important role in our community and it’s been a pleasure meeting each of you! Please come out and support the new owners of Roddy’s Tavern. They are planning to open soon! Almost all of our staff are back , our delicious food and menu will remain the same. We look forward to seeing you at Rody’s or the community soon! Our best, Steve and Barbara Rodmond.”
After some delays and waiting for approval from the health department, the new owners appear to be finally ready to open their doors.
Roddy’s Tavern’s temporary opening hours are:
- Wednesday to Sunday: 4pm to 12pm
Recipes for their delicious food and most of their team members will also be returning.
