Russian President Lavrov accuses Washington of playing with fire in Taiwan

UNITED NATIONS, Sept 24 (Reuters) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov sternly criticized Washington at the annual United Nations meeting, accusing the United States of “playing with fire” in Taiwan.

Lavrov said Washington is trying to turn the whole world into its own backyard with sanctions. The United States has imposed multiple rounds of sanctions on Moscow following its invasion of Ukraine in February.
