Technology and Cybersecurity Forum Coming Soon | Cyber ​​Extra

Niagara County Council Chair Becky Wydysh said today that registration is now open for the 20th Annual Technology and Cybersecurity Forum, which will be held on Tuesday, September 20 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Niagara Falls, 101 Old Falls Street, Niagara Falls Held at the Falls Convention Center. The forum attracts over 350 attendees each year.

“For the past two decades, the forum has been Western New York’s leading technology event, featuring cybersecurity/technology vendor showcases, educational sessions, and nationally recognized speakers,” said Wydysh. “We are delighted that it is back this year after being delayed for the past two years due to the pandemic.”

Hosted by the Niagara County Department of Information Technology in association with InfoTech WNY and InfraGard, the forum is free to attendees. InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and members of the private sector to protect America’s critical infrastructure.

Niagara County IT Director William Flynn said some of the topics that will be covered include how the security industry is using today’s rapidly changing technologies to drive cloud cybersecurity, endpoint security and cyber resilience; how organizations can improve their security posture; and the latest trends affecting cybersecurity .

“Cybersecurity is always at the forefront for those of us in this field, and this forum keeps us up to date with the latest improvements and best practices,” Flynn said, noting that the forum is eligible for six CPE hours to come Recertify ISC2 and ISACA certifications.
