American Express is gearing up to celebrate a week for its cardmembers. If you have a Consumer American Express or small business card in the US, you can expect savings on travel, dining, shopping, and more.
As part of Membership Week 2022, American Express will host five-day (and in some cases longer) deals starting October 1. October to October 14. In most cases, all consumer and small business card members in the U.S. can participate in Membership Week. These include cards like American Express Platinum® and American Express Gold®, as well as travel-branded cards like Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card and Delta SkyMiles® American Express Gold®. American Express Prepaid, Corporate and American Express cards issued outside the United States are not eligible. Plus, Membership Week is limited to one registration card per member, so even if you have multiple American Express cards, you can only use these benefits once.
In summary, Membership Week is a five-day event featuring curated offers that Cardmembers can take advantage of to increase savings and a one-of-a-kind experience. These deals cover everything – from dining to travel, live concerts and more. Here’s what card members can expect every day of American Express Membership Week 2022.
Eligible American Express members can get points back when they shop at select retailers. You can earn up to $150 in statement credit in total on select purchases from HBO Max, Under Armour, Dell Technologies, and The Container Store. Here’s how the savings breaks down:
- HBO Max: Get a $50 statement credit after signing up and spending $99
- Under Armour: Get a $25 statement credit after signing up and spending $75
- Dale: Get a $50 statement credit after signing up and spending $100
- Container Store: Get a $25 statement credit after signing up and spending $75
For each of these retailers, you must register with your American Express account prior to making a purchase to trigger a statement credit. Additionally, the minimum spend per offer must be completed by October. 20 for the corresponding credits.
The publisher has been expanding its food service since American Express bought Resy, an online restaurant reservation system, in 2019. For Dining Day, eligible cardmembers can earn a $25 statement credit after making a single in-person restaurant purchase of $75 or more at more than 200 Resy restaurants nationwide using their registered card. The $25 statement credit can be used twice through December. August 8, 2022.
Beginning in October, you can find 200 eligible Resy restaurants on the dedicated Members Week website. 10. We love this offer because it’s not only valid for Membership Week, but it’s valid at participating restaurants until December. 8. Save up to $50 in total thanks to the ability to use it twice.
The American Express Gold Card is our best dining credit card. With it, you’ll earn 4 points per dollar spent at restaurants worldwide and in US supermarkets (up to a maximum of $25,000 per year, 1 point per dollar thereafter). Plus, you’ll earn up to $120 in dining credits per year. The card currently offers a welcome bonus of 60,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $4,000 in the first six months of account opening.
American Express will host a Jack Harlow-only concert on October 1st. 12 at Brooklyn Steel in New York City. Eligible card members can purchase concert tickets starting in October. 9:11AM ET – Check American Express’ social channels for ticketing information. For cardmembers who are not in New York or can’t get tickets, you’ll be able to stream the concert on Twitch.
Additionally, from October 10 to October 14, American Express members will have the opportunity to purchase passes for two weekends at Coachella.
It is no surprise that tourism is booming as more countries reopen their borders to tourism in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. To reward card members, American Express offers travel purchase benefits, but eligible travel benefits vary by card.
American Express told CNN Underscored that more specific information about these travel deals will be announced on October 1. 10, but you can expect savings with various travel operators and Amex Travel.

For Cardmembers with a special interest in wellness, American Express is offering a $40 stated credit on a single purchase of $175 or more at Equinox’s spas or Equinox’s stores (including online) through November 10. January 24, 2022. Additionally, Cardmembers can sign up for a $50 statement credit upon a single U.S. subscription purchase of $69.99 or more at Calm.com prior to Calm.com. March 31, 2022.
